Strangely enough, the thing Spike misses most in his new unlife is not Buffy, or blood, but his old DeSoto. There was something about getting in the car, turning up the tape player, and hitting the open road that felt good and free and full of endless possibilities. He’s never liked horses (and they never liked him), or trains, or boats—he always gets seasick, dead or undead. But cars! The very first thing he’s going to do when he gets his body back is steal Angel’s convertible and drive and drive.
He might even drive right into the sun.
