time to go to work
it’s Tuesday morning again
the work week begins

Will have to be a short entry today—I’ve got about fifteen minutes before I have to head to work. Fortunately, I feel fine today, although the ear—still plugged up. It doesn’t feel quite as full of pressure, though, so I think it’s gradually getting better.

Yesterday was rather lazy. I uploaded the second part of “Looking Glass”—oh, my, it must have been three or four times as long as the first part! Those guys sure did have a lot of sex….

I’m enjoying going through it again, remembering all that stuff we wrote. Some of it even strikes me as pretty good. I’m remembering my co-writer, too, with a sigh. I kind of wish I could get in touch with her again. Not to try to be friends—that’s a long time gone. But just to say hi and see how she’s doing. But it’s not to be. There’s been no response to my e-mail in over a week now, it seems clear she’s not going to write me.

But I’m glad I can finally look at our novel and enjoy it again, after all these years.

Mom and I went into town yesterday for lunch at the airport, then a few errands at Kmart and the grocery store. I bought a couple of pairs of sandals at Kmart—I’ve never owned a decent pair of sandals since I’ve moved here! I need some cooler shoes to wear to work. And I got ingredients to make taboulleh, which is waiting in the fridge for me to have for dinner.

Other than that, it was a quiet day. I had a nice chat with Czarina last night about dogs and cats and beetles. And that was about it.

I’ve posted pictures of the big oak in my front yard. But here’s the little oak growing behind the house. It’s only a couple of feet tall. When it gets bigger, I’ll have to move it away from the house, but for now, it’s cute where it is.
